Middletown, CT: MediTelecare, the nation’s leading provider of telehealth behavioral care services to Post Acute and Skilled Nursing Facilities, has announced it is launching telemedicine services throughout the states of West Virginia and New Mexico. The company will be adding services via telehealth to 23 new Skilled Nursing Facilities with over 2000 patients in both states.
MediTelecare’s clinicians focus on the assessment of mental status to provide optimal medication management and psychotherapy services for behavioral health affected patients in skilled nursing facilities. Their proactive approach of managing both appropriate medication use, and non-pharmacologic psychotherapy combined with behavioral care assessments has contributed to reducing rehospitalizations. MediTelecare provides its clients with access to a HIPAA secure Clinical Cloud Repository, which enables greater care coordination with all caregivers in Skilled Nursing Centers. Additionally, MediTelecare provides each of its client facilities with care progress MediReports℠ establishing baseline guidelines for appropriate management of the patient’s condition.
Randy J. DioGuardi, MBA, Executive Vice President of Operations says, “I am very excited that we are expanding our telehealth services to residents in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in New Mexico and West Virginia because often patients in these states cannot properly access adequate behavioral care. This will mark 2 additional states where we will be connecting rural senior communities with our world-class providers. It’s important that no matter where you reside, you have consistent access to mental health care.”
